"Rumba del Rio" was composed as an homage to New York's majestic Hudson River. It has quickly become a fan favorite and one of the most frequently requested songs in my repertoire. In 2018, I included this song as a bonus track on my self-titled 20-year retrospective cd. I'm honored to be nominated for an EDDIE award. It's with much pride and gratitude that I submit Rumba del Rio for the judge's consideration. What a grand evening it will be, celebrating the extraordinary diversity that contributes to the rich cultural landscape of our Capital Region. Thank you! — Maria Z.
